IMS DB/DC Adminstrator / IMS Administrator (Consultant)
Job Description: Candidate having 2 years of experience on Mainframe System Administration with IMS DB/DC Administration (IMS DB/DC Admin is must). He/She will work as IMS DB/DC Administrator.
Desired Profile:
Work as a specialist in Mainframe System Administration as a team member (Sr.). He/She will work as a specialist in IMS DB Administration.
An IMS specialist should have the knowledge of the followings:
Structure of the ‘IMS-online environment’
Logging in IMS - Message queue architecture
IMS message (transaction) scheduling
IMS storage management
Installation of an IMS System
IMS Maintenance and Database debugging: Traces, utilities, slips, dump-controlling
IMS Sysgen
IMS System Programming: Message queuing, transaction processing, DB processing, system definitions, operations, Exits
IMS User Exits and their usage, IMS Connect User Exit, DBRC API
IMS-Security - Implementation (including Security for other subsystems)
DBRC
IMS Fast Path Implementation and IMS Fast Path Database Utilities
IMS Performance and Tuning
IMS/DB organisation (DBD, PSB, ACB, Database DL/I calls, Secondary Indices)
